The UFC once again has an undisputed middleweight champion. On Saturday, Israel Adesanya unified the interim and middleweight titles with a second-round knockout win over Robert Whittaker. The fight served as the main event of UFC 243.

UFC 243 took place Saturday, October 5 at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne, Australia. The main card aired on ESPN+ pay-per-view following prelims on ESPN2 and UFC Fight Pass/ESPN+.

In the co-main event, Dan Hooker defeated Al Iaquinta by unanimous decision

The fight card set a UFC record for attendance, with 57,127 fans packing into Marvel Stadium. That number exceeded the previous record of 56,214, which was set at the same stadium for UFC 193. The headliner of that 2105 card was a women’s bantamweight title fight between Ronda Rousey and Holly Holm. Holm won that contest by second-round knockout.
